I am Esmaiel, an experienced English teacher looking for an onsite teaching position in your school. I am living in Iran at the moment.
I am an experienced English teacher who has been working for more than 13 years on a full-time basis. I have obtained a bachelor's degree in English teaching and a master's in linguistics.
Furthermore, I am a CELTA Certified English teacher as well; I have done my CELTA Course at ITI Istanbul. Also, I passed both General and Academic IELTS. I have worked with different age groups such as teenagers and adults who were at different levels, ranging from beginner to advanced. I have taught students who needed English for general as well as business purposes and I have prepared them for their international exams, especially IELTS.
As for my methods of instruction, I typically go through presentation, practice and then production. I highly value pair/group work activities for my lessons so that students gain confidence to improve their fluency at first and then help them go for accuracy. I follow the defined stages in the lesson shapes for my tasks to develop my main and sub-aims fully. Not only that, but I give instructions clearly, set up the tasks efficiently and then provide feedback both on content and language efficiently. I use my students' creativity to elicit the meaning of a useful language rather than explaining it to have more student-centered instruction, minimizing teacher talking time.
In terms of my personality, I respect people who have different opinions, nationalities and religions. I get along well with my students, inspiring them to broaden their horizons as well. I am patient, kind and have a good sense of humor. Also, I can work well with technology to handle the classes too. I am well-prepared to have an interview upon request, so we can get to know each other better.
