The United States Peace Corps was established in 1961. It has been working in Armenia since 1992.
THE PEACE CORPS HAS THREE GOALS:
*To help the people of interested countries meet their needs for trained men and women;
*To help promote a better understanding of the American people on the part of the peoples served;
*Help promote a better understanding of the people served on the part of the American people.
Volunteers work in the following four Projects:
Community and Business Development
Community Health Education
Teaching English as a Foreign Language
Environmental Education
